Woodlands Primary Academy

Welcome

On behalf of the children, staff and Local Academy Board members of Woodlands Primary Academy I would like to welcome you to our school and website.

All parents and carers want their children to be successful and happy. It is important to choose a school which nurtures the right skills, develops confidence and self-esteem and offers an exciting and enriching curriculum to ensure children are ready for the wider world.

As a good school, the children are at the heart of every decision we make, whether it be for their safety, enjoyment or academic achievement. We believe in the holistic development of the child including teaching character such as respect, kindness and honesty as well as learner attributes such as responsibility, resilience and emotional well-being. We aim to help children to find their voice, talents and thrive.

Through our wider curriculum we aim to inspire a life-long love and interest in sport, music, language and the outdoors. Our classrooms encourage excellence, creativity and inspire children to be the best that they can become. We have designed our curriculum to challenge children academically, socially and culturally. Children benefit from dedicated and highly qualified staff, specialist teaching and excellent pastoral care.

Our school encourages children to aspire to the highest possible standards of which they are capable. We strongly believe in nurturing talent and rewarding excellent behaviour, attendance and hard work.

Our whole school community strives to develop positive mental health and wellbeing in all our families and staff. We are immensely proud to be accredited with Gold Status in the Schools Mental Health Award and Gold: Right's Respecting, with UNICEF. Please see those pages for more information about this work.

I hope that you find the contents of our website informative. If you require any further information please do not hesitate to contact the Academy on 0161 3595698.

Welcome to the Woodlands family.  We look forward to working with you to make sure you and your child’s time with us is a happy and successful one.
